Late Night

Ohhhhh..... last night was a late night.  Little Judah decided that he was going to stay up all night and I was so sleepy this morning.  My little honey decided that all he needed was a snack each time that he woke up so he was up about every two hours.  I can't wait till he is sleeping through the night.

This is my pumpkin just relaxing.  For some strange reason he likes to sleep with his hands on his face.  I love it!!!!!

July 30, 2011

This Tuesday my little Judah will turn three months old-which is also his due date.  I look at him and cannot imagine my life without him.  He brings me so much joy, just looking at that little face makes all other things just fade into the background.  He is definitely my little piece of heaven.  I love when I am feeding him and he looks directly into my eyes.  Just makes me melt.  Sometimes I catch myself saying "oh i can't wait till he..." and then I stop myself and think yes I can.  I want to savor every precious innocence moment that I have with him.

At this stage in his little life he is still sleeping most of the day and eating every three hours.  We get the occasional grin which is just too cute!    He's just happy.

As for me, I am adjusting well to this whole mommy role.  I just love it.  I really don't mind getting up in the middle of the night for his feedings, or having him spit up on me or pee on me-which he has done twice. Just holding him close to me gives me this love and peace.  It's really amazing.

And as for daddy.  He is doing so awesome.  I love seeing them two together.  I have yet to hear any complaint for anything.  He does it all. Diapers, late night feedings, dishes, and laundry just to name a few.  Judah has him wrapped around his little finger already.

I can be nothing but thankful for all that God has blessed me with.

Just Pictures

July 20, 2011

So I am finally sitting down to update.  My little love has been home 3 weeks.  This is him only a day before we got to take him home.  Judah was in the hospital a total of 2 months and we were so ready to have him home.

Well, as you can tell he was already growing to big for his preemie clothes before he even left the hospital.

I wanted to document everything and here it is.  Our last meal with only the two of us in the house, this was the lunch before we went to the hospital.

Mmmm.... Shlotzsky's.  And here we are.  Just as excited as could be, ready to head to the hospital.

Okay let me back track here for a minute.  Judah was in the hospital for a total of 2 months.  On June 25 we received a phone call from the hospital and they let me know that we would be rooming in on Sunday June 26.  OMG!  We could hardly contain our excitement.  Saturday we spent the day finishing up last minute things and getting ready for Sunday.  We would be leaving for the hospital on Sunday during the day and spending the night at the hospital with Judah in the room.

This was the last time that we would be walking into this hospital to see our baby!!!

Sunday came around and we got to the hospital and filled out some discharge paperwork.  From there we were whisked off to our lovely suite. :)  We spent the entire afternoon just laying in the bed staring at this little guy, praying that all would go well.  And it went great.  I did not sleep a wink that night.  Every little sound that he made woke me up and each time I would get up and check that he was okay, breathing, not wet or pooped or hungry.  Which he was each time.  Morning came around and the doctor came in and said those words that we had been waiting to hear for what seemed like eternity.  You guys are ready for discharge, dad if you can bring the car around.  Yay finally !!!!!

Well as you can tell by the time space of the last post I have been just a little busy.  :)  Having this little guy home is the best.  And having the help of his daddy is pretty awesome too.  I can't believe that my hubby will have to go back to work next week.  :(  We're going to miss him.  This thing called motherhood.  I kind of like it.  There is nothing like looking down at this little face and having him just stare back at you with this love. It's amazing.  I thank God everyday for bringing Judah to us.  There's times when I just look at him and remember all the things that went on just to get him here.  I am truly blessed.

Today son you are one month two weeks and three days old.  Your daddy and I just got home from the hospital.  Well last night we went to visit you and you were at 3 lbs 15 oz.  According to the doctor and the nurses the more weight that you gained the closer that you were to getting to an open crib and just that much closer to getting to come home.  Okay so tonight we went hoping that you gained an ounce or two to push you over the 4lb mark.  Tonight we arrived at the hospital and you were looking especially cute.

First of all the nurse told us that you drank 60 ml in your last feeding, your minimum amount is 36ml.  : D  We stayed for your midnight feeding and got to speak with the doctor and she was telling us that you pretty much have done everything that you needed to do now you just have to continue to gain weight.  We asked about your tube feeding and she said that you didn't need it anymore and she told the nurse to take it out.  Me and daddy were SO excited.    Midnight rolled around and your daddy fed you and you downed 50 ml.  like some super baby!!  :)  No coughing, spitting up, nothing,  drank your milk like a champ.  Then came the weighing..(ooooohhh)  Well son, in 24 hours you managed to gain 100 grams which is roughly about 3.5 oz.  YES I said 3.5 oz.  and you are now at 4lbs 3.9 oz.  Yoooohoooo!!!!!!!!!!!   Funny thing was that the nurse  weighed you like 3 different times to make sure that the weight was right. lol..yep that's my little man.

So now we are waiting for you to come home honey bunny :)  soon, very soon.
